Sub48 is for beginners. People are here to learn, ask basic questions and ship their first real project. This code applies everywhere Sub48 happens: the website, Discord, submissions and any event or call.
Expected
- Be kind and patient, especially with first-timers. There are no stupid questions here.
- Give feedback on the work, never on the person.
- Help when you can, and credit people and tools you used.
- Keep the Discord channels on topic and use #help for being stuck.
Not allowed
- Harassment, insults, threats or discrimination of any kind, including about gender, religion, caste, region, language, disability or sexual orientation.
- Sexual content, violent content or spam.
- Sharing anyone’s personal information without permission.
- Cheating: copied or pre-built work, fake demos, multiple accounts, or interfering with another team’s project.
- Pressuring judges or other entrants.
What happens
Depending on how serious it is, the organiser may warn you, remove messages, disqualify an entry, or remove you from Sub48 contests and the Discord. Serious or illegal behaviour may be reported to the authorities.
Reporting
If something makes you uncomfortable, message the organiser on Discord or send an email. Reports are kept private. We reply within 2 days and never share who reported.
