Some Sub48 contests are free and some have a small entry fee, shown on the contest page before you register. This policy covers fees paid for a contest. Free contests involve no payment, so there is nothing to refund.
How payment works
Fees are paid by UPI. You enter the UPI transaction ID (UTR) when you register, and we match it to the payment. Your place is confirmed once the payment is matched.
When you get a full refund
- The contest is cancelled by Sub48, for any reason.
- The contest doesn’t reach its minimum number of entries. Paid contests can have a minimum, shown on the contest page. If it isn’t reached, every fee is refunded in full.
- You withdraw before registration closes. Email us from your account’s email address before the registration deadline.
- You were charged twice or paid more than the fee. We refund the extra amount.
- Your payment couldn’t be matched to a registration and you don’t want to complete it.
When fees are not refunded
- You withdraw after registration has closed, or you don’t take part or submit.
- Your entry is disqualified for breaking the rules or the code of conduct.
- You aren’t eligible (under 18 or not living in India) and registered anyway.
How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to the UPI ID the payment came from, within 7 days of the refund being approved. For a cancelled contest or a missed minimum, refunds start within 7 days of the announcement, without you having to ask.
How to ask
Email us with your name, the contest, the UTR and the reason. We reply within 3 working days.
